Shipping policy

General

We are able to ship internationally.  These costs will be provided separately on all art work.  

Shipping costs are estimated by our shipping company. Any overages after shipping supplies, shipping cost and export expenses will be refunded to your method of payment. Refunds on shipping costs are at the discretion of Messy Meerkat Studios.

Free shipping for orders over $200 CAD within Canada + USA does NOT include Route protection. If the free shipping threshold is not met with purchased items from Messy Meerkat Studios, the customer will be invoiced for these costs and payment is required within 12 hours.  Failure to pay within the allotted time period will result in a cancelled order.

Messy Meerkat Studios is located in Ocean Park (lower mainland), British Columbia. For Local Pickup orders of $100CAD+ a 15% discount will be applied at checkout for specific items. Not all items are eligible for this discount (small items). If the order is placed and this discount code is misused for a non local order, the order will be cancelled immediately without notice. This discount code is for local pick-up orders only. PICK UP IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  Orders not collected within 7 days of pickup notification will be subject to a 30% restocking fee deducted from the refund total.

Shipping Times (Average)

These dates cannot be guaranteed. These are approximate shipping time estimations provided to us by Canada Post. These may also differ between shippers.

Canada : 4-30 business days

USA* : 5-45 business days

International : 14-80 business days

*excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and Virgin Islands. Any orders from these locations will be subject to an additional postal fee if applicable. You will be sent an second invoice just to cover the additional postage for your order.

Shipping & Handling

Please allow 2-14 business days for items to be packaged and shipped.  This is item dependant (large items may require specialised packing and this will take longer). Some items may also take longer to pack if additional packaging needs to be purchased.

For international delivery, please allow 14-30 business days for items to be packaged and shipped as additional packaging materials will need to be purchased.

All purchases will be shipped via Canada Post from Canada to their destination. In some cases where Canada Post will not deliver the package due to the size or weight, packages may be sent via another company at the discretion of Messy Meerkat Studios.

ALASKA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO, GUAM AND VIRGIN ISLANDS ORDERS as well as International Orders will be charged at the rates provided by the shipper.  Where necessary, this may mean a second shipping invoice will be provided.

Please note, all international packages may be subject to duties and taxes. These are established by your local customs authorities. Messy Meerkat Studios is not responsible for these costs. Please visit your local customs authority website for further information.

Insurance

Orders over $100 CAD must purchase insurance. This can be provided through our shippers or you are welcome to purchase your own. All international orders are required to purchase insurance. 

Times required to lodge issues

  • Lost - stuck in transit

Domestic: The issue must be filed between 7 and 30 days from the last shipping update. 

International: The issue must be filed between 20 and 30 days from the last shipping update. 

  • Stolen - marked as delivered

The issue must be filed between 5 and 15 days from when the order was marked delivered. 

Stolen orders over $100 USD require a police report. 

  • Damaged

The issue must be filed and include photos of the damaged package and item(s), no later than 7 days from when the order was marked as delivered.

Delivery dates are not guaranteed for reasons that are beyond our control. Once your product has been shipped, we are no longer responsible for that product.  Messy Meerkat Studios is not responsible for any packages that are lost, stolen or damaged in transit.

Messy Meerkat Studios is not responsible for shipments that are not deliverable due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information. If a package cannot be delivered to the address provided, it will either be shipped back to us or destroyed based on shipping terms.

If a package is returned to us, the customer is responsible for paying a return-to -sender fee as well as the re-shipment cost. If package is destroyed due to a non-claim by customer, the customer must re-purchase the item.
